Dr. Sachee Parikh meeting with a teen patient and parent

Collaborative orthodontic care, from referral to result.

Thoughtful, coordinated care around growth, development, airway considerations, and long-term function, with the patient and their existing care team at the center.

Clear referrals. Thoughtful diagnosis. Patient-centered coordination.

For referring doctors

An easy referral.A thoughtful next step.

We make it straightforward to refer a patient for orthodontic evaluation while keeping care centered on the person and connected to the providers who know them best.

Dr. Parikh brings a thoughtful diagnostic lens, respects the referring provider’s relationship with the patient, and collaborates with the broader care team when appropriate. The goal is clear communication, thoughtful recommendations, and coordinated care that makes the next step easy for both patients and providers.

How collaboration works

A clear path from referral to coordinated care.

Every patient is different. These four steps keep the process simple while allowing for the clinical judgment and collaboration each case requires.

When additional perspective is helpful, we collaborate with the referring provider and other members of the patient’s care team to develop a thoughtful, coordinated plan.

04

Clear next steps

We make sure patients and providers understand our findings, recommendations, and next steps, with communication that keeps everyone connected along the way.

Orthodontic screening supports the bigger picture.

Airway, growth & development

Looking beyond alignment alone.

Diagnostic workups at Parikh Orthodontics include screening of the nasal passages, sinuses, and pharyngeal airway space alongside orthodontic growth, development, and function.

When screening identifies concerns that may affect breathing, sleep, or development, the practice coordinates with appropriate specialists, such as local ENTs. Orthodontic screening helps identify concerns and guide coordination; it does not replace medical evaluation.

How do I refer a patient?

Select “Refer a Patient” on this page to open Parikh Orthodontics’ secure HeyMilley doctor referral flow. HeyMilley owns and manages the referral form.

What information should I have ready?

Share the patient and clinical information you have available in the HeyMilley referral flow. If our team needs clarification to support the evaluation, we will follow up appropriately.

Can I refer a patient with airway or sleep concerns?

Yes. Orthodontic diagnostic workups include screening of the nasal passages, sinuses, and pharyngeal airway space. When screening identifies concerns that may affect breathing, sleep, or development, Dr. Parikh coordinates with the appropriate medical specialist. Orthodontic screening does not replace medical evaluation.

Will you work with the patient’s existing dentist or pediatrician?

Yes, when appropriate. We respect the referring provider’s relationship with the patient and coordinate with existing dental and medical providers when their perspective is relevant to planning or care.

Do you coordinate with ENT or oral surgery specialists?

When clinically appropriate, we coordinate with ENT specialists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, head and neck surgeons, and other members of the patient’s care team. Coordination depends on the individual patient’s needs; it does not imply a formal partnership with every specialty.
